Breakout: Jacksboro Elementary
Have you ever tried a breakout style game in Knoxville or Pigeon Forge? If not, the concept is simple: players are safely placed in a room and have a set time limit to solve puzzles, use clues, and examine evidence to find and unlock secret codes to help them escape! What if that concept could be applied in an educational setting? That's exactly what Aaron Brown, a JES 4th grade teacher did for his students on May 17th. Mr. Brown created a scenario in which students had to work together and use mathematics skills learned throughout the year to help them solve puzzles, unlock mysteries, and ultimately find a way to "breakout" of the classroom! Students had a great time working together to unravel the mystery of Breakout: Jacksboro Elementary!
